Saif assualt Malaika faces warrant for missing court.

A Mumbai magistrate’s court has reissued a bailable warrant of ₹5,000 against actor Malaika Arora for failing to appear as a witness in the ongoing trial of the 2012 assault case involving actor Saif Ali Khan and two others. The incident in question occurred on February 22, 2012, at a Colaba hotel, where Khan, along with friends including Malaika Arora, was dining. An altercation allegedly took place between Khan’s group and NRI businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma, leading to accusations of assault against Khan and his associates.

Despite being summoned, Malaika Arora has not attended court proceedings, prompting the reissuance of the warrant. The court has scheduled the next hearing for April 29 and has requested a report on the warrant’s execution by that date.

Previously, on March 29, Malaika’s sister, Amrita Arora Ladakh, testified as a witness in the case. She stated that she observed Saif Ali Khan being punched by an individual who had entered their private dining area and confronted the group about their noise level.

The trial is ongoing, with the court continuing to summon witnesses to provide their accounts of the events from that night.
