The Rajasthan government has informed the High Court that it does not intend to cancel the 2021 Sub‑Inspector recruitment exam at this time. At a hearing, Additional Advocate General Vigyan Shah said that while investigations into the paper‑leak scandal led by the Special Operations Group are ongoing and several arrests have been made (including around 40–50 trainee SIs), the government needs more time to evaluate the situation before making a decision . The court has accordingly maintained a status quo, halting any postings or training for successful candidates, until further orders . A six‑member cabinet committee was formed in October to review whether to cancel the exam, and the next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 10 .

Meanwhile, political voices like Hanuman Beniwal have staged protests demanding cancellation, warning of further agitation, while families of selected candidates have also protested, claiming cancelling the exam would unfairly punish meritorious students .
