Public hygiene Mumbai 2025.

The Maharashtra Lokayukta had previously directed the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to develop guidelines for providing appropriate toilet facilities for working women and sportswomen at public grounds, including the Oval Maidan in Mumbai. This ten-member committee, comprising senior bureaucrats from various departments, was given six months to frame these guidelines.

However, as of now, there is no publicly available information confirming that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has commenced work on installing new toilet facilities at maidans following the Lokayukta’s orders. While the directive underscores the importance of such amenities, specific details about the initiation or progress of construction remain unreported in the public domain.
