India is set to make a significant impact at the Doha Diamond League with its largest-ever contingent of four athletes.

Two-time Olympic and World Champion Neeraj Chopra will lead the team, competing in the men’s javelin throw event. Joining him are fellow javelin thrower Kishore Jena, who will be making his Diamond League debut, and Parul Chaudhary, who will compete in the women’s 3000m steeplechase. The fourth athlete’s name has not been disclosed.

Chopra, who won the title in 2023 with a throw of 88.67m and finished second in 2024 with a throw of 88.36m, will be aiming to start his season strong ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo later this year.

The Doha meet is scheduled for May 16 and is expected to be a significant event for Indian athletics.
