He reportedly shot himself in the head with an unlicensed pistol at his office in Belapur. In his suicide note, Chinchkar alleged harassment by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug case involving his elder son, Naveen. The NCB had issued warrants against both of Chinchkar’s sons, leading to immense stress for the family.
