MAN GETS LIFE TERM FOR KILLING BROTHER OVER PROPERTY AS MOM TESTIMONY NAILS HIM.

​A 54-year-old man in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2020 murder of his younger brother over a property dispute. The conviction was significantly influenced by the testimony of their mother, Kusum Sharma. According to reports, on September 28, 2020, Shrikrishna Sharma attacked his 42-year-old brother, Ram Sharma, with a brick while Ram was asleep around 5 a.m. Kusum Sharma, who was in the same room, attempted to intervene but was pushed aside by Shrikrishna, who continued the assault before fleeing the scene. Ram Sharma later succumbed to his injuries at SM Medical College. The court also imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on Shrikrishna, half of which is to be given to his mother as compensation.
