Legal scholar Prof. Devinder Singh joins DBRANLU.

Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Singh has officially assumed the role of Vice Chancellor at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonepat, as of May 24, 2025. His appointment was sanctioned by the Governor of Haryana and Chancellor of the university, Bandaru Dattatreya, for a tenure of three years or until he reaches the age of 68, whichever comes earlier .
With over 25 years of experience in legal academia, Prof. Singh has held several prominent positions:
Professor and former Chairperson of the Department of Laws at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Dean of the School of Law at Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi.
Founder of The Constitutional Club for Public Policy & Governance at Panjab University.
Editor-in-Chief of the P.U. Law Times Newsletter and the Panjab University Law Review .
His scholarly contributions include authoring and editing over 10 significant books, such as Human Rights: Women and Law, An Introduction to Administrative Law, and Law, Religion and Secularism. He has also revised key legal texts like Administrative Law by Dr. Paras Diwan and Indian Contract Act by Dr. J.D. Jain. Prof. Singh has published more than 70 research papers in esteemed national and international journals .
In his inaugural address, Prof. Singh emphasized a comprehensive approach to elevate DBRANLU as a premier institution for legal education, research, and policy advocacy. He aims to enhance community outreach and foster global collaborations, positioning the university as a national hub of excellence in the legal domain .
