On May 26, 2025, the Allahabad High Court dismissed an application seeking to include Deity Shriji Radha Rani Vrishbhanu Kumari Vrindavani (Goddess Radha) as a party in one of the 18 suits related to the Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura.

The application, filed through Advocate Reena N Singh, argued that Goddess Radha, as the consort of Lord Krishna, jointly owns the disputed 13.37-acre land alongside Plaintiff No. 1, Sri Bhagwan Krishna Lala Virajman. This claim was based on references from various Puranas and Sanhitas.

However, Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra rejected the plea, stating that the applicant is neither a necessary nor a proper party to the suit. The court emphasized that the claim relied on ‘Pauranic’ illustrations, which are generally considered hearsay in legal contexts due to their narrative nature and lack of direct evidence. Consequently, the court found no compelling reason to include Goddess Radha as a party in the ongoing litigation.

The Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah dispute centers on the claim that the Shahi Idgah mosque was constructed over the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The next hearing in this case is scheduled for July 4, 2025.
