The Jharkhand High Court has directed the state government to submit a timeline for filling the long-vacant positions at the Jharkhand Real Estate Regulatory Authority (JHARERA). This includes the posts of Chairman, Adjudicating Officer, and other key roles. The court emphasized the urgency of the matter, noting that the Adjudicating Officer’s position has been vacant since November 2022, and there has been no regular Chairman since January 2021, with the authority currently being managed by acting Chairpersons. The petitioner, Shashi Sagar Verma, highlighted that 67 cases, including 45 complaints, 16 execution petitions, and 6 miscellaneous matters, remain pending before JHARERA due to these vacancies .

In a related development, the High Court has also instructed the state government to expedite the recruitment process for 26,000 school teachers, addressing the severe shortage in educational institutions .
