High court bail to 10 PFI men in 22 Kerala RSS Neta murder.

On April 2, 2025, the Kerala High Court granted bail to 10 members of the Popular Front of India (PFI) accused in the 2022 murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader K.S. Srinivasan in Palakkad district. The bench, comprising Justices Raja Vijayaraghavan and P.V. Balakrishnan, provided relief to Shefeek, Jafar B, Nassar, Jamsheer H, Abdul Basith, Muhammed Shefeek K, Ashraf K, Jishad B, Ashraf Moulavi, and Sirajudheen, who had appealed against an NIA special court’s earlier denial of bail. The detailed order is yet to be released.

Previously, in June 2024, the High Court had granted bail to 17 other PFI members implicated in the same case. The court imposed stringent conditions on those released, including surrendering passports, remaining within Kerala, and keeping their mobile phones active and charged at all times.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been handling this case, alleging that the murder was part of a broader conspiracy to incite communal violence. The NIA had previously challenged the bail granted to the 17 PFI members in the Supreme Court.
