Aglawe allegedly defrauded a complainant of ₹27 lakh in 2023 by promising business loan facilitation through his bank contacts.

He claimed no prior prosecutions, but the prosecution revealed eight ongoing FIRs, contradicting his statement.

His lawyer filed an amended bail plea later, calling the false declaration “inadvertent”, but the court rejected this, emphasizing that such falsehood undermines judicial trust.

Aglawe was dismissed from his bank position and allegedly received payments in instalments during March–May 2023.

The court held that bail couldn’t be granted when there’s a prima facie case and no credible defense on the funds received.
