Economic Offences Wing investigation

​As of April 8, 2025, there are no new reports indicating that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has summoned any Managing Directors (MDs) or Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) today. Recent developments include the EOW’s ongoing investigation into the ₹122 crore embezzlement case at New India Cooperative Bank. In this context, the EOW has summoned auditors from multiple firms for questioning. Additionally, the former CEO of the bank, Abhimanyu Bhoan, was arrested earlier in connection with the case. Furthermore, the EOW has expressed dissatisfaction with the Reserve Bank of India’s responses regarding the audit of the bank. No new summonses for MDs or CEOs have been reported today.​
