The Supreme Court has denied interim bail to Jyoti Jagtap, an activist accused in the Elgar Parishad–Maoist links case, who requested temporary release to visit her critically ill father. A bench comprising Justices M.M. Sundresh and Aravind Kumar declined the plea, stating, “We are not inclined to give interim bail,” and postponed the hearing on her main bail application .
