Two delivery boys have been arrested in Mumbai after assaulting a traffic constable and stealing his handheld e‑challan device. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 26, around 12:42 pm at Hariom Junction in Mulund East. Constable Laxman Rathod had been issuing a challan to a two‑wheeler that jumped a red light when the pillion rider, identified as Amandeep Bhardwaj, snatched the device. The duo — rider Indrajitsingh Bhardwaj and pillion Amandeep — then pushed the constable and fled. Using CCTV footage and technical tracking, the Navghar police located and arrested them the next day. The stolen e‑challan machine was recovered. Both are residents of Mumbra and were working as delivery personnel. They were booked under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to obstruction and assault of a public servant and electronic-device mischief .
