A 37‑year‑old man was arrested at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on June 17, as he deboarded a flight from London carrying a British passport. Investigations revealed that:

• He had initially secured an Indian passport in 2015 by supplying false personal and maternal information.
• Using those credentials, he subsequently obtained a Portuguese passport, and later secured the British passport.
• He had already used the fake Portuguese passport to travel between India and the UK twice.
• Upon arrival this time, immigration flagged the documents and reported him to Sahar police, who then registered a First Information Report against him
