The ED raided his Bandra residence and several other locations on June 6, 2025, as part of a “money laundering probe linked to the Rs 65 crore Mithi River desilting scam. During the searches, they seized approximately Rs 7 lakh in cash, digital devices, and froze 22 bank accounts and one demat account—totaling over Rs 1.25 crore—across Mumbai, Kochi, and Thrissur. Dino Morea appeared for questioning on June 12, 2025. ED is examining suspicious transactions between him, his brother Santino, and middlemen like Ketan Kadam (who allegedly diverted funds into companies linked to the Moreas). He may be called again.

So the “mystery woman text” rumour about Rs 80 lakh hasn’t surfaced in credible reporting. Instead, what’s documented is scrutiny over ₹18 lakh transferred to his brother Santino and multiple smaller transactions that raised ED’s red flags.

Morea currently isn’t facing charges or arrests but is under suspicion. He’s cooperating with ED, which continues to dig into his financial ties to those at the heart of the Mithi scam.
