As of May 3, 2025, Mumbai police have registered an FIR against actor Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others involved in the web series House Arrest, which streams on the Ullu app. The FIR alleges that the show featured obscene content, including scenes where female actors were reportedly made to strip and enact sex positions.

The controversy intensified after a clip from the reality show went viral, prompting the National Commission for Women (NCW) to summon both Ajaz Khan and Ullu App CEO Vibhu Agarwal for questioning. Maharashtra BJP MLC Chitra Wagh also demanded an immediate ban on House Arrest, citing its harmful impact on societal values and concerns about its accessibility to children.

In response to the backlash, the Ullu app has removed the series from its platform.
