As of today, April 22, 2025, former NCP MLA Zeeshan Siddique has received multiple death threat emails from an individual claiming affiliation with the ‘D-Company’, the notorious underworld group led by Dawood Ibrahim. The emails demand a ransom of ₹10 crore and warn that Zeeshan will meet the same fate as his father, Baba Siddique, who was assassinated last year.
The first email, written in broken English, was received on Monday and threatened Zeeshan with death unless the money was paid within two days. Subsequent emails served as reminders, each increasing the urgency of the demand. The sender, identified as ‘Dilshad’, used an image of a gun and six bullets as his email display picture .
Disturbed by these threats, Zeeshan approached the Bandra Police, who have initiated an investigation and are in the process of registering an FIR . The police have also provided additional security to Zeeshan and his family.
This incident follows a recent pattern of high-profile threats, including those against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, raising concerns about the resurgence of organized crime syndicates in the region .
