Vadra ED investigation 2025.

On April 16, 2025, businessman Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the second consecutive day in connection with a money laundering investigation related to a 2008 land deal in Gurugram, Haryana. The case involves Vadra’s company, Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd, which purchased 3.5 acres of land in Manesar-Shikohpur for ₹7.5 crore and sold it four years later for ₹58 crore.

Vadra arrived at the ED office around 11 a.m., accompanied by his wife, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who waited in the visitors’ room during the questioning. He was interrogated for approximately five hours, during which his statement was recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Addressing the media, Vadra expressed his frustration, stating, “I have already appeared 15 times before the agency regarding the same case. I was questioned for 10 hours, and I gave 23,000 documents. I showed my statements from 2019 to the agency, and they are asking the same questions that I answered in 2019.” He further added, “We are not afraid of anyone. We will keep fighting for the people.”

The ED has summoned Vadra for a third round of questioning on Thursday, April 17, 2025. This development coincides with the ED’s recent filing of a chargesheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald money laundering case.

Vadra has consistently denied any wrongdoing, labeling the investigations as politically motivated. He maintains that he has always cooperated with the authorities and has provided extensive documentation to support his case.
