SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER HELD FOR RAPING TWO WOMEN.

As of April 7, 2025, there are no new reports of a social media influencer being arrested for raping two women. However, there have been recent incidents involving social media influencers and allegations of sexual assault:

  1. Russell Brand: The British comedian and actor has been formally charged with multiple sexual offenses, including rape and sexual assault, involving four women. The alleged incidents occurred between 1999 and 2005 in Bournemouth and London. Brand denies all allegations and is scheduled to appear in court on May 2, 2025.
  2. Konstantin Rudnev: A 57-year-old Russian cult leader known as the “Great Shaman” was arrested in Argentina while attempting to flee to Brazil with six women. Rudnev faces charges including human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and drug offenses. His cult, Ashram Shambala, has been accused of coercing women into sexual acts under the guise of spiritual salvation.
  3. Sean “Diddy” Combs: The American rapper and producer faces additional federal charges related to sex trafficking, bringing the total to five. The charges involve allegations of coercing women into commercial sex acts and transporting them for prostitution between 2021 and 2024. Combs denies all allegations, claiming the relationships were consensual.

In India, earlier this year, there were reports of social media influencers involved in sexual assault cases:

  • Mohammed Nishal: A 25-year-old YouTuber from Kozhikode was arrested in February 2025 for allegedly raping a woman he met through social media. He reportedly threatened to leak her private videos and photos online.
  • Hafiz Sajeev (alias Thrikkannan): In March 2025, this social media influencer was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a woman from Alappuzha under the false promise of marriage.
