A 42-year-old businessman from Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, has reported a significant financial loss of ₹2.74 crore due to an online gaming scam. Between December 2022 and April 2025, he was lured into depositing funds into an offshore betting platform, SATSports.com, which offered games like Teen Patti and casino-style gambling. Initially, he was able to withdraw ₹50 lakh, but subsequent attempts were unsuccessful, and his account balance showed zero. Upon contacting the platform’s administrators, he received no satisfactory response, prompting him to file a complaint with the cyber police. An FIR has been registered under the Information Technology Act for fraud, and investigations are underway to trace the perpetrators .
